How to Turn an Invitation Card Into a Website
Already have an invitation card? Here’s how to turn the same design into a guest-friendly website without redesigning it.
If your invitation card is already designed, you do not need to start over just to make it digital.
The useful next step is to keep the card exactly as it is and add the things a static image cannot do: directions, event details, a countdown and, when needed, RSVP, music, a gallery or a way for guests to contact you.
That is the idea behind turning an invitation card into a website.
Create your invitation page with CardToPage. Keep your finished card and add the guest details around it.
What actually changes?
Your card remains the main invitation. The website becomes the useful layer around it.
Instead of sending guests a card image and then separately sending a Google Maps pin, answering timing questions and collecting replies in chat, you can send one link.
A guest opens the link in the browser, sees your invitation and can use the information and actions attached to it.
You do not need to redesign your invitation
This matters if your card came from a designer, Canva, another design app or even a printed card that you photographed.
A card-to-website workflow should not force you to recreate the artwork in a template. The design may already match your wedding, birthday, housewarming, baby shower or other event perfectly.
With CardToPage, you upload the invitation you already have and build the guest page around that card.
What should you add to the page?
Start with what reduces work for both you and your guests.
For most events, that means:
- the correct event date and time
- the venue
- directions to the venue
- a simple way to share the page on WhatsApp
For events where you need more coordination, the full website can also include RSVP, a countdown, music, a gallery, Wishes Wall and tap-to-call.
Do not add features merely because they exist. A small birthday dinner may only need the card, time and directions. A wedding with several guests may benefit much more from RSVP and additional event information.
How to make one with CardToPage
Upload your existing invitation card, enter the event and venue details, choose the page appearance and publish.
CardToPage gives you a web link that you can send to guests. They open it directly in their browser. They do not need to install an app or create an account.
Every verified account can create up to two free Starter websites. A Starter website is useful when you mainly need one card, one event and venue directions. If you need the additional guest features, you can upgrade that individual website.
When is a website better than sending only the image?
An image is enough when the invitation itself is all the guest needs.
A website becomes useful when the invitation starts creating follow-up messages:
“Send me the location.”
“What time does it start?”
“Can I bring someone?”
“Where do I RSVP?”
That is the practical difference. The website is not replacing your invitation design. It is making the invitation easier to use.
