Video invitation with RSVP, directions and a countdown
Upload the invitation video you already have and guests get one link where they watch it, reply, open directions and save the date to their calendar.
A video invitation with RSVP is your finished invite video placed on a web page with a reply form, a map to the venue, an add to calendar button and a countdown. Guests open one link, watch the video and reply on the same screen. With CardToPage you upload the MP4 you already have, and the page is built around it.
What does a video invitation with RSVP include?
A video file can't take a reply or open a map. On a CardToPage page your video stays exactly as it was made, at the top of the page, and under it sit the things a video can't do by itself.
- An RSVP form with name, dietary notes and up to two questions of your own
- A Directions button that opens Google Maps at the venue you pinned
- Add to calendar and a countdown to the day
- Background music from a YouTube link, which starts after the guest's first tap
- Tap-to-call buttons with names, a gallery and a Wishes Wall
- Several events on one link, each with its own venue
Around the video you choose a theme from the theme gallery, which sets the colors, the backdrop and a few floating stickers. The video itself is never edited.
How is this different from sending the video file?
How do guests RSVP to a video invitation?
They tap the link you sent. The page opens in their phone browser, with no app to install and no account to make. They watch the video, scroll to the form and enter their name.
You decide what else to ask. The form can take an optional WhatsApp number and dietary notes, plus up to two questions of your own. Each question can be a yes or no, a choice from a list, a number or a short text answer.
Replies show up on your dashboard as they arrive, and you can export them for the caterer or the seating plan. 100 replies are included. If you need more, extra replies are a one-time add-on.
Ask for one reply per household and add a number question such as "How many of you are coming?" A family of four then uses one reply, and your headcount comes out right.
How do I add RSVP to a video invitation?
- 01Upload your video Add the MP4 from your designer, Canva, Etsy or your phone. Use the original export for the best quality.
- 02Check the details Confirm the names, date, time and venue, then pin the venue on the map so Directions goes to the right door.
- 03Choose a theme Pick the colors and backdrop that sit around your video.
- 04Set up RSVP Switch the form on, add your questions and decide whether to ask for dietary notes.
- 05Preview and publish Preview for free, check the total, pay once and share the link.
The step-by-step guide covers export tips, sharing and how to test the page as a guest before you send it.
What belongs in the video and what belongs on the page?
Keep the video for your names, the date, the music and the look. Put the facts guests act on in page text as well. Many people watch with the sound off, and an address that flashes past in the last scene is easy to miss.
Write the full address, the start time and your reply by date on the page. If plans change, edit the page and the link stays the same. Words inside the video don't change with it, so fix the video too if the date in it is wrong.
How do I send a video invitation with RSVP?
Paste the link wherever your guests read messages. In the US that is often a text or an email, and in the UK it might be a family WhatsApp group. A readable link such as cardtopage.com/i/emma-and-james looks tidy in all of them.
Sending paper cards as well? Download the QR code of the link and print it on the back.
We'd love you to join us for our engagement party on Saturday 14 June. The video, directions and RSVP are all here: [your link]. Please reply by 31 May so we can confirm numbers.
What does a video invitation with RSVP cost?
Building and previewing are free. A page with your video and RSVP is a one-time payment, with no subscription and no charge per guest. It stays online until 14 days after your last event date. The free version takes a single image card and has no RSVP, so a video invite needs the paid page. You can watch every step in the real app on how it works.
Themes cover weddings, birthdays, baby showers, housewarmings, graduations and holiday parties, and business events get a layout with an agenda and speakers.
Can I put a clickable RSVP button inside an MP4?
A video file can't hold a form. The RSVP sits on the page around your video, and guests reply there.
Will guests need an app or an account?
No. They open the link in their phone browser and reply with their name. There is nothing to install.
Can I add page music if my video already has sound?
You can, but two soundtracks at once are hard to listen to. If your video has its own music, leave page music off.
Can I change the details after I send the link?
Yes. Edit the date, venue or details and the link stays the same. Text inside the video stays as it was, so fix the video too if it shows the old details.
How many RSVP replies are included?
100 replies come with the page. Extra replies are a one-time add-on if you need more.
Turn your video invite into a page guests can reply on, for a one-time payment.
